Enjoy individual guidance from an experienced teacher, coach, and artist as you create art at home and share it with Helen for feedback and instruction.

INDIVIDUAL CRITIQUES OR CONSULTATIONS

Present your portfolio of five or more artworks to receive and insightful analysis of each artwork and of your body of work as a whole. Emphasis will be on both formal issues of composition and basic elements and principals of design, as well as effective content communication. You’ll receive supportive feedback regarding patterns of strength (and potential weakness) in your work. You will also receive specific recommendations and suggestions for improving your compositions and the effectiveness of the strategies for communication you are using.

Helen is best known for drawing, painting,(water-media including watercolor, acrylics, gouache), and mixed media/collage.

Private Critique or Consultation:
• $100 per session, a minimum of one hour with follow-up email
Private Individual Instruction:
Workshops of 4 or more may require a space to work if my studio is not available:
• $100/full day per person; $60/half day per person in groups of 4 or more; Includes positive critique and packet of information/exercises.
Arranged Group Workshops:
How It Works:
• You gather 3 – 7 of your artist friends and identify a good location for a workshop
• You choose the dates and subjects with Helen
$ 500/per day/group workshop + travel and lodging. (Limit of 15 per workshop.) You provide the venue. Students bring their own supplies based on a materials list provided. Some communal supplies will be provided. Organizers are responsible for providing an appropriate workshop space. Instructor's transportation and lodging costs are required for out-of-state workshops. The cost of the workshop can be negotiated under special circumstances.
